Rubus ‘Bedford Giant’

This map has been generated using a programme created by
John Lowell for the South Lancashire 'snapshot flora' 1995-2005.

Distribution:
Most frequent in the east as a feature of the bramble flora of the mill town valleys.

Habitat:
Mainly a colonist of waste ground, abandoned ground, railway banks and along lanes near cottages and occasionally invading heath and moorland scrub.

Comments:
Neophyte, an escape from allotments and gardens, several forms appear to be escaping from cultivation.
