Widespread across the south from the coast at Formby to the border with vice-county
63 east of Oldham; a most abundant bramble between Warrington, Bolton and Wigan.
Habitat:
Hedgerows, woods, railway banks and industrial spoil heaps.
Comments:
This species is readily distinguished from other brambles by the combined features
of an ovate terminal leaflet, hairy stem and hairy anthers.
