Distribution:
Most frequent in the hill districts and associated valleys in the east, rare
in the lowlands.
Habitat:
Moorland lanes, hedgerows, field scrub, heaths and woodland borders.
Taxon Designation:
South Lancashire Axiophyte.
Comments:
To the south of Preston care has to be taken not to confuse this species with
the undescribed ‘Leyland Bramble’.
