Former distribution:
A historic specimen of the true plant was traced for Ditton Marsh, Widnes (SJ4984,
MANCH, det. A Newton & DP Earl, c. 2005).
Habitat:
Unknown, possibly on peaty soils on the margins of a fen.
Comments:
Likely to have been lost as the marshes were reclaimed. Note that the name Rubus
fissus was formerly erroneously applies to populations and specimens of
Rubus scissus. Full deatils of the specimen are to be obtained in due
course.
