Distribution:
Locally common in the hill districts, rare at lower altitudes.
Habitat:
In field scrub and hedgerows, along moorland fringes, roadsides, woodland borders,
old railway lines and canal banks.

Comments:
South Lancashire Axiophyte. Considered endemic to the British Isles, this species
is frequent in western England from the north Midlands to northern Cumbria.
