Distribution:
Very common in the Parbold area. The western limits for this species in South
Lancashire are at Churchtown Moss (SD3818) and Scarisbrick Woods (SD3911).
Habitat:
Woods, hedgerows and roadsides.
Taxon Designation:
South Lancashire Axiophyte.
Comments:
There were thought to be two variants of this species in the vice-county but
populations between Wymott (SD4920); Leyland (SD5420) and Salmesbury (SD5930)
require a review and might be R. dentatifolius or a localised
undescribed species.
