Discovered amongst the dense scrub of typical Rubus ordovicum that occurs at Middleton Junction. It is thought that this cut-leaved variety has arisen from a mutation of the typical plant. It is not known if cut-leaved variants of Rubus ordovicum has been found prior to this discovery.
