Distribution:
A localised plant of the Tame and Mersey valleys about Stockport.
Habitat:
Woods, wooded riverbanks, and scrub.

Local Endemic; Nationally Rare; South Lancashire Axiophyte.
Comments:
Occurring mainly within the tributary river valleys of the Mersey to the east
of Stockport along the vice-county borders of Cheshire, South Lancashire and Derbyshire.
