Distribution:
Very much a species of the hill district fringes. Good populations occur south of Chorley and further to the east along the eastern fringes of the vice-county between Ashton-under-Lyne and Todmorden.
Habitat:
Field scrub, hedgerows and woodland borders.
Taxon Designation:
South Lancashire Axiophyte.
Comments:
Until recently this species was overlooked in the vice-county.
