Rubus 'The Coppull Bramble'

John Lowell for the South Lancashire 'snapshot flora' 1995-2005.
A revised map needs to be created to show the additional records made since 2005.


Distribution:
Known with certainty to occur from the Parbold Hills, Robin Hood (SD5310) to the Cuerden Valley (SD5724) being most frequent about Coppull and Chorley. Plants seen further south near Moss Bank (SJ5199) and at Birchwood (SJ6294) may be this species but require further examination.

Habitat:
Hedgerows, woods, woodland borders and field scrub.

Taxon Designation:
Local Endemic; South Lancashire Axiophyte.
