Rubus 'The Delph Bramble'
Distribution:
Scattered across the South Lancashire hill districts with records from
Padiham Heights (SD7836); Dean Height (SD8037); Bacup (SD8623); north west of
Todmorden (SD9125).
Habitat:
Heathlands, moorland roadsides and scrub in upland districts.
Taxon Designation:
South Lancashire Axiophyte.
Comments:
Another population occurs outside of South Lancashire at Delph,Greater
Manchester (SD9808) in vc63 where this bramble was first discovered on a Manchester
Field Club excursion in 1993.
