Fens near Sniggery Wood, Little Crosby (SD3001, A Newton & DP Earl).
Former distribution:
Aintree (SJ3798, HS Fisher, MANCH); between Hightown Station and Ince Blundell
(SD3003, FM Webb, 1872).
Habitat:
Ditchbanks and fen margins.
Taxon Designation:
South Lancashire Axiophyte.
Comments:
Long known as a plant of the fens to the north of Crosby. In recent times the
Little Crosby populations appear to have declined to a single primocane on a regularly
cut ditchbank.
