Distribution:
Localised in the west about Formby; common about Widnes and St. Helens and extending
across to the Tame Valley where plants are locally abundant; further to the
north a feature of the Ribble and Calder Valleys.
Habitat:
Roadside banks, railway banks and hedgerows.
Taxon Designation:
Endemic.
Comments:
This species is named after JLB Warren (Lord de Tabley) who collected this species
from Trout Hall, Plumley, Cheshire; plants with red styles have been seen at
Edge Green (SJ5998).
