Locally common in the west especially in rural districts and frequent further
inland particularly along the river valleys.
Habitat:
Woods, canal banks, hedgerows, scrub, shrub plantings and mature dunes.
Comments:
Plants determined as Rubus cinerosus Rogers from Hale (SJ48Q, Liverpool
Botanical Society, 1909) are correctly identified as this species.
