Distribution:
A single locality at Scarth Rake, Cliviger (SD82Y, B Wright, 1997 & P Jepson,
2005).
Former Distribution:
Rivington Pike (SD61G, M Rigby, 1860, Fl. Preston 1865); Great Hameldon Hill
(SD72Z, 1864, MANCH); Fo Edge (SD81J, 1839, Wood 1840, MANCH); Reddyshore (SD81N,
Buxton 1849); Rooley Moor (SD81P, Buxton 1849); Thieveley Scout (SD82T, JB Wood,
1841, MANCH); slate quarries at Worsthorne (SD83V, Fl. Tod. 1907). A record
for “hedges near Bury” (LH Grindon & J Sidebotham, 1840, MANCH)
is probably from SD81. Recently a record has been traced from Pendle Hill (SD7839,
1979, Anon).
Habitat:
Known from a single fissure in a cliff face; formerly on stony ground
and quarry refuse.
