Distribution:
Survived in the once derelict glasshouse at Stanley Park, Liverpool
(SJ39L, DPE & SPT, 2003) but likely to lost as the glasshouse has recently
been restored. Plants were collected from Waterloo (SJ39E, VG, 1983 & 1998,
LIV).
Former distribution:
Orford, Warrington (SJ69A, M Roby, 1840, Dunlop, 1908).
Habitat:
Glasshouses and gardens.
Comments:
Neophyte, native to north America and northern. Asia. The historic
record is thought to relate to the cultivation of this species by the Blackburne's
at Orford Hall.
