Sedum
'Herbstfreude' - Autumn
Stonecrop
This map has been generated by Mapmate 14/04/2012
Distribution:
A frequent and widely established garden
escape near habitation.
Habitat:
Waste ground, roadsides and sand-dunes; along wood borders, railway
banks and hedgebanks near houses.
Comments:
Neophyte, native to China and Japan. The earliest record traced is
from Moston Fairway (SD8801, DP Earl, 1991). Probably all plants are Sedum
‘Herbstfreude’ rather than Sedum spectabile (Butterfly
Stonecrop) as leaves are alternate rather than opposite, per. comm. MP Wilcox.
