Poa annua                 Annual Meadow-grass

Distribution: It can clearly be seen from the associated distribution map that Annual Meadow-grass is very common throughout most the vice-county. This species is only scarce on the highest waterlogged ground and the remote salt-marshes.
Habitat: Paths, pavements, tracks, disturbed open ground and lawns.
Comments: The var. reptans was recorded from near rubbish tips, Litherland (SJ39J, WG Travis, date not traced).
