A bramble of the section Corylifolii with numerous sub-equal glands on the stem
faces (as with the series radulae) that is currently placed within the Rubus
halsteadensis complex has been found on several occasions within a few miles
of Manchester. In the Salford Borough this bramble has been found by Blackleach
Reservoir (SD7403, DP Earl & MPG Tolfree, 2003) and along the wooded banks
of the Irwell by the Student Village, Lower Broughton (SD8200, DP Earl & J
Earl, 2011).
The flowers are white and the styles are
often red-based.
