Found in a marl-pit just north of the A580 at Ellenbrook (SD7201, Wild Flower Society Excursion, 1992) with Stratiotes aloides (Water-soldier) and Apium inundatum (Lesser Marshwort); occurred in great abundance in the Manchester, Bolton & Bury Canal adjacent to the Chloride Battery works at Clifton Junction (SD7903, DP Earl, 1991); in a pond at Kersal (SD8101, DP Earl, 2000). The record from Holcroft (SJ6893, DP Bentley, 1999) is from the Warrington adiminstration area.
