This is the hybrid of Water Horsetail and Field Horsetail.

The only record traced is from The Cliff, Higher Broughton (SD8201) where this hybrid was discovered by Audrey Franks in 1994. It is thought the plants occur amongst the springs at The Cliff. Plants might occur elsewhere in Salford Borough and should be looked for amongst suitable habitats.
