This map has been generated by Mapmate 12/04/2012

Once a feature of the mosslands with historic records from Barton Moss Grindon (1859) and from at an old marl-pit by the tram-road, Chat Moss 1858. Nowadays plants are usually found as colonists of artificial habitats as at Worsley (SD7400) growing between the sandstone blocks along the Bridgewater canal and along the embankment of a disused railway south of Walkden (SD7401).
