Established in a few pondsand mill lodges and along the Bridgewater Canal between
Worsley and Barton.
Sweet Flag used to grow with Water Soldier by the left side of road between Hope
House and Eccles (Wood 1840) and this could have been the location at
Eccles (Grindon 1859) where Sweet Flag was once plentiful.
