Arenaria serpyllifolia L. - Thyme-leaved Sandwort

This map has been generated by Mapmate 03/01/2012

A plant of old railway ballast as at the site of the former Irlam steelworks and along the mineral line of the Manchester Ship Canal (SJ7192, SJ7293 and SJ7395). Said to occur annually on Clifton aqueduct (SD7903, Grindon 1859).

This is a historic record for Arenaria serpyllifolia subsp. leptoclados occurring as a casual at Kersal Moor (SD8102, Melvill 1882) but this is known to be from Hilton Park which is within the Borough of Bury.
