Only found at the reservoir by Queensway, Clifton (SD7802) during the 1991-1992 survey. There is an additional Greater Manchester Plant Atlas record for SD7204. Note the historic record from Worsley (SD7400) there being a voucher specimen at Liverpool Museum dated 1795. Note also the recent records from the Bridgewater Canal to the west of Astley Green (SJ6899 & SJ6999, A Bamforth, 2005) indicating that Rigid Hornwort should be looked for in the canal within the Salford Borough.
