Only found in one of the Three Sisters ponds (SJ7799, DP Earl) during the 1991-1992
survey. Also known from the Greenheys Clough area (SD7003, Greater Manchester
Plant Atlas c. 1991). Edmondson's comments for the western section of Chat Moss
(1953) were "grows densely in many of the ponds throughout the whole area."
If such populations occurred in the Salford Borough they may well have been lost
to peat extraction.
