Locally frequent in the Irwell valley about Agecroft and Clifton; damp grasslands
on clay soils by the M61; along the Bridgewater Canal between Boothstown and Worsley;
on damp railway ballast in inner city Salford; occasional between Cadishead and
Eccles and known historically from near the river at Irlam (Buxton 1849).
