Plants were found to be locally frequent by the Manchester Ship Canal mineral line between Cadishead and Irlam during the 1991-1992 survey; a solitary plant was found on the railway wall, Hampton Grove, Eccles (SJ7698, DP Earl, 1995) and plants may well be common along ballast of the railway systems; several records for the Salford Quays and central Salford areas have been supplied by AR Franks and AR Locksley.

This species occurred at Barton (SJ7496, Grindon 1859) but did not persist.
