Considered to be introduced as part of wildflower enhancement programmes to the
old railway at Roe Green (SD7501, DP Earl & J Earl, 2002); Blackleach Reservoir
(SD7304, DP Earl & MPG Tolfree, 2003).
There are historic records from between Agecroft Bridge and Clifton Aqueduct (SD8002,
Wood 1840); Little Hulton (SD7203, GH, Grindon 1859); Botany
Bay (SJ7398, Grindon 1859); damp meadows between Eccles and Hope (SJ7898,
J Shaw, Grindon 1859).
