1997); in the River Irwell south of Regent Bridge (SJ8297, AR Franks, 1996).
Ponds at Eccles & Swinton (SJ7599, TRA Maxwell, 1966).
Once so copious at Eccles (SJ7798, Grindon 1859) for it to be said that
rats could run across the Frog-bit covered ponds without getting their feet wet.
