Occasional to the west of Worsley, scarce elsewhere with a record from Salford (SJ8298, DP Earl, 1991). Note the record from Clifton Aqueduct (SD7903, Buxton 1849). A specimen from Botany Bay (SJ7398, JB Wood, 1843, TCD) has been determined as subsp. obtusiusculum (Tourlet) Hayek by FH Perring.
