Recorded from Barton Moss (J Shaw, Grindon 1859) in which it is suggested
that this species may have been introduced by sea birds that frequently visited
the area. Now increasing in frequency as an adventive species on open and disturbed
ground, roadside verges and on the bare soil amongst flowerbeds.
