Formerly locally frequent on limestone ballast along the infilled section of the Manchester, Bolton & Bury Canal (SJ8298 & SJ8398, DP Earl, 1991). There are recent records from railway ballast by the Manchester Ship Canal (SJ7091, MPG, Tolfree & C Walsh, 2003) and on on colliery spoil, Sod Hall, Walkden (DP Earl, 2004).
