A very localised plant that was found to occurred in small quantities in the Bridgewater
Canal between Barton Bridge (SJ7697) and Monton Green (SJ7699) during the 1991-1992
survey.
There a number of Taxon Designations that apply to Floating Water-plantain
and so it is important to carry out a monitoring survey along the Bridgewater
Canal to establish whether any populations still remain within the Salford Borough.
