Thought to be frequent to locally abundant on disturbed and derelict ground especially
on land by the mineral line by the Manchester Ship Canal. This species is known
to have been confused with Melilotus altissimus and thus further surveys
are planned for the new BSBI date class of 2010 - 2019 to re-evaluate the relative
distributions of the two species.
