The last record traced is from Clifton Moss (SJ7603, ME Martin, 1975). Known historical from ditches on Chat Moss (Buxton 1849); once plentiful and fine at Irlam (J Shaw, Grindon 1859); abundant by springs on the Moor, towards Singleton Brook (SD8102, Melvill 1882).
