Oenothera versicolor Lehm.
- Sunset Evening-primrose
A plant with strong red-flowers and lanceolate leaves was found on disturbed
ground in Salford (SJ89E, J Clarke, c. 2002). Examination of a voucher specimen
suggested that the plant was this species and the variety ‘Sunset Boulevard’
which is occasionally grown in gardens.
This introduced species is Neophyte
to the British Isles, usually a casual and is native to the Andes.
