Locally common in grassland on river alluvium in the Irwell Valley from Clifton
Green to Broughton and from Eccles to Irlam closeby to the Manchester Ship Canal.
There are historic records from Agecroft, near the River Irwell (SD8001, G Crozier,
1840, MANCH); near Singleton Brook (SD8102, Melvill 1882).
Note also the populations that occur along the Mersey Valley between Didsbury
and Flixton.
