First recorded from waste ground near Mark Addy Bridge, Ordsall (SJ8297, AR Franks.
1997) and since found to be widely naruralised within the Salford Borough. A proportion
of the records plotted as Solidago canadensis for the date range 1991-1992
could be Solidago gigantea.
