Rare. Healthy but vulnerable populations of this species occur along peaty ditch
banks at Clifton Moss (SD7603, DP Earl, 2003). Also recorded further to the west
on Clifton Moss (SD7503, Bolton Field Naturalists, 1988).
There is a voucher specimen for Chat Moss (SJ79C, C Bailey, 1874, MANCH) where
the last record traced was made by P Yates 1901 but it is plausible that plants
may still occur in the Chat Moss area.
