At one time a localised species of wet woods with 1991-1992 records from along
the spring lines in The Cliff Woodlands (SD8200 & SD8201) and as a probable
garden escape along the railway line between Roe Green and Worsley (SD7500 &
SD7501).
In recent times the distribution of Pendulous Sedge has increased markedly with
numerous additional records being gathered particularly from woodlands and developing
woodlands close by to housing areas.
