A very localised sedge with records from the bank of the Irwell immediately to
the north of Agecroft Bridge (SD8002, DP Earl, 1991); in acid grassland on the
slopes above the River Irwell near Clifton House Farm (SD7704); valley north of
the East Lancs Road, Swinton Park (SD7800, J Clarke, 2003).
Once plentiful on Kersal Moor (SD8102, Wood 1840 & Melvill
1882) and possibly still present at this location.
