Occasional to locally frequent in acid grasslands and heathland communities. There
are historic records for Kersal Moor (SD8102) where this species should still
occur. It is thought that Sheep's-fescue is probably under-recorded in the Salford
Borough and that additional records might be obtained from along the acid grassland
slopes of the Irwell valley between Clifton and Agecroft.
