This Bamboo was found to be established above a wooded pond at Clifton Country
Park Arboretum (SD7604, DP Earl, 2003). On a return visit (DP Earl & P Bowdler,
2012) it was found that the Sasa veitchii had become the dominant species
on the banks above the pond and may have competed out other introductions such
as Rubus allegheniensis.
