There are only three Salford records shown on the above distribution map from
Moss House (SJ6796); Swinton Park (SD7800); north of Seedley (SJ8099) all from
2003. It is possible that records for this taxon were only entered at specific
level on Recorder 3 at Bolton Museum as the original comments relating to the
1991-1992 survey were “occurs in rural districts, often as small trees in
cottage hedgerows”. Further study of the original recording cards is required
to clarify the status of subspecific records.
