Old bushes are a feature of hedgerows near the Glazebrook and about Boothstown. Extensively planted in amenity shrubberies elsewhere although a proportion of the plantings could possibly be the hybrid Prunus x fruticans (P. domestica x P. spinosa).

Bushes with hairy leaves and with black rather than bluish-black fruits are extensively planted in amenity areas.
