Found by a bridge and old railway by the M61, north of Walkden (SD7404, DP Earl & MPG Tolfree, 2003).

Known to be in cultivation about Boothstown (SD7100 J Evans, Grindon 1859) and later found to the west of Boothstown (SD702006, WE Molyneux, 1954).
