Distribution:
Widespread and increasing.

Habitat:
Ornamental woodlands, plantations and in pavements.

Comments:
Neophyte, planted, native to the western states of the USA. Regeneration occurs next to some plantations and is also frequent amongst pavement from adjoining gardens in the suburbs. This species is probably under-recorded. The earliest record traced is from Sunnyhurst Wood (SD6722, 1977).
