Distribution:
Locally naturalised usually in or nearby to built up areas.
Habitat:
Waste ground, hedgerows, old walls, former mills, tips, and in parks.
Comments:
Neophyte native to North America. It is thought that this species
is more common than P. quinquefolia but the two species may
have been confused. The earliest record traced is from the Manchester, Bolton
& Bury Canal, Salford (SJ8399, DP Earl, 1992).
