Widespread but mainly in urban areas.
Habitat:
Woodlands, plantations, amenity tree and shrub plantings.
Comments:
Neophyte, native to south-western Europe, probably under-recorded. The earliest
record trace is for Rufford New Hall Woods (SD41N, DP Earl & J Earl, 1998).
Self-sown plants have been found in vice-county 58 (AR Locksley).
